Tuesdays 6:30-8pm ~ Nov. 18 - Dec. 16 (5 weeks) Visual Journaling is a class that requires no prior art experience. Students will select a sketchbook to use throughout the course and fill it with personal materials—such as receipts, papers, and tickets—alongside a variety of mixed media to explore their thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Painting, drawing, collage, and stamping are just some of the techniques students can incorporate into their art journals. Visual journaling offers a creative space for reflection, vulnerability, exploration, patience, and mindfulness. Taught by Madi Class Size 4-8 Students Class cost $240 +gst |
Beginner Oil Painting ~ Level 2 (ages 16+)

A Gentle Introduction to Color, Form & Flat Expression Have you always wanted to expand your knowledge of oil painting but weren’t sure where to begin? This 6-week course is the perfect starting point for anyone newer to the medium - anyone with some experience! In a relaxed and supportive studio setting, you’ll explore the basics of oil painting through a flat, simplified style that emphasizes bold colour, shape, and creative expression. This class is designed to help you feel more confident using oil paints while encouraging your own artistic voice. In This Course, You Will: • Discover flat painting techniques using color blocks and simple shapes • Explore color mixing and composition with a focus on intuition and expression • Complete your own original artworks step-by-step • Gain inspiration from modern and contemporary artists This class is ideal for absolute beginners or anyone looking to reconnect with painting in a low-pressure, creative atmosphere. Mixed Media Drawing (ages 16+)

This class teaches intermediate drawing techniques to students who have some experience drawing. Using pencil, pastel, water media and more students will learn to create colourful drawings of many subjects. There will be a focus on making drawings that reflect each students personal style and interests, working from photographs and personal objects. Intermediate Painting Class (ages 16+)

Thursdays 7-8:30pm
Winter Dates TBD This painting class is for students with some experience painting. Students are welcome to bring watercolour, gouache or acrylic paint for this class. Weekly themes will be offered and students will work independently while the instructor gives one on one advice when needed.
