Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm Sept. 24- October 29/2024 Visual Journaling is a class requiring no previous art experience and you are welcome to attend this class multiple times. Students choose a sketchbook to work in throughout and use written word along with various mixed mediums to explore feelings, thoughts, and ideas. Painting, drawing, collage, stamping, poetry, photography, and textile arts are some of the mediums one could choose to incorporate into their art journal. Visual journaling allows for a space to practice reflection, vulnerability, creativity, exploration, patience, and mindfulness. We look forward to making art with you. Mixed Media Drawing (ages 16+)

November 7 - December 12/2024
Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm This class teaches intermediate drawing techniques to students who have some experience drawing. Using pencil, pastel, water media and more students will learn to create colourful drawings of many subjects. There will be a focus on making drawings that reflect each students personal style and interests, working from photographs and personal objects. November 5-December 10/2024 Come join our first Art Club! Participants are invited to bring whatever projects they’re working on and materials they have and create. Acrylic Painting Class (ages 16+)

Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm Winter Dates TBD In this beginner course, you will learn how to paint with acrylics. Acrylic paint is the choice for many artists because of the creamy texture, ability to blend smoothly with clean colours, water solubility and of course you can use it on so many supports. They are extremely versatile and vibrant, offering the artist a wide range of textures, colours and consistencies. Beginner Watercolour Explorations (ages 16+)

Winter Dates TBD This class is an open-studio style class for beginner painters or people with some experience painting with watercolour. Using washes and dry brush techniques, students will learn many different painting styles that can be created with watercolours while working on paintings of their choice. Intermediate Painting Class (ages 16+)

Sept. 26-Oct. 31, 2024 This painting class is for students with some experience painting. Students are welcome to bring watercolour, gouache or acrylic paint for this class. Weekly themes will be offered and students will work independently while the instructor gives one on one advice when needed.
