In our Mixed Media Art Classes, students develop fine motor skills and build confidence while working on projects that span one or two sessions. They explore a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, clay, and printmaking to discover which they enjoy most. This class focuses on drawing what we see, not just what we imagine. Students build strong observation skills while learning proportions, shading, and value to create more realistic drawings. Subjects may include still life, animals, nature, and portraits, with guided instruction on facial proportions and expressions. Emphasis is placed on patience, attention to detail, and learning how to see like an artist—helping students gain confidence as they take their drawing skills to the next level. September 14 - December 14/2026 Register June 10/26 Young artists will explore both air-dry clay and polymer clay (Fimo) while learning a variety of sculpting, building, and decorative techniques. Over the course of the session, students will create unique projects inspired by animals, nature, fantasy, food art, functional pottery, and more. Each week introduces new skills and creative challenges designed to build confidence, problem-solving abilities, and artistic expression. Artists will bring home a collection of finished pieces ranging from whimsical sculptures and miniature worlds to practical items and keepsakes. Whether your child is new to clay or already loves sculpting, this class offers plenty of opportunities to experiment, create, and have fun in a supportive studio environment. |
